About
Lauren Leavitt, CSF
Lauren began riding at age four and got her first horse, Lazerbeam, when she was nine. Together they were the 2004 USEA Training Level Horse and Rider of the Year. Lauren has competed through Preliminary level Eventing and was a former working student for David and Karen O’Connor. Lauren has worn several hats in the equestrian industry, including competitor, groom, instructor and farm manager, and brings insight from all of these roles into her fittings.
In 2017, Lauren started Rockhound Saddles, a high-end saddle consignment business. After a few years, she felt it would be more helpful to people looking for their dream saddles by becoming a Certified Saddle Fitter herself. In 2022, she graduated from Mike Scott’s (The Saddle Guy) school and certification program.
Why Independent
As an independent fitter, Lauren does not represent any brands. This allows her to be open-minded and work with a variety of quality saddles. There are no quotas to fulfill, no minimums to be met. Lauren’s only agenda is finding the perfect fit for horse and rider.
